RYA Professional Practices and Responsibilities - Interactive

This course is suitable for those working in the professional maritime world, and is a requirement for RYA/MCA Certificates of Competence. So a commercial skipper understands their responsibilities to Vessel, Crew and Passengers.

The course is split in to 4 sections

Commercial enviroment Showing how you fit into the professional maritime world

People Explaining the importance of correct manning, keeping skills up to date and the safe management of commercial vessels

Vessel Teaching about the compulsory carriage and maintenance of safety equipment, and how to create an implement risk control and operating procedures

Purpose Making sure the vessel is suitable and legal for the work, obligations in protecting the environment, appropriate planning and situational awareness

At the end of these four training modules will come two online assessments. You should allow yourself around six to eight hours to complete this online course. This can be in more than one session, however each assessment is timed and must be taken in a single unit. You should also allow up to two further hours to take the two online assessments.
