The course aims to develop the skills acquired from RYA Start Sailing and RYA Basic Skills and bridge the gap to the more advanced sailing modules in order to make the transition easier for individuals wishing to progress.

Candidates will receive coaching of the skills learnt in Start Sailing and Basic Skills with the opportunity to experience sessions from more advanced modules. It will provide candidates with the opportunity to practice and consolidate sailing techniques while experiencing new ones. 

This course is a part of the RYA National Sailing Scheme, comprised of a series of two day courses that enable candidates to progress quickly from being a beginner in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.

Course content will include:

· Rigging
· Launching
· Sailing in all directions
· Capsize recovery
· Essential safety knowledge

Candidates will receive the RYA Better Sailing Certificate upon successful completion of the course
