RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate - Interactive Training

This is the interactive version of the SRC course, the training element for which can be undertaken in your own time, with just the assessment being carried out at our Bradwell centre. 

This course will give the knowledge and skills required to understand the correct procedures when operating a marine radio. A marine radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures.

The course is for anyone who owns a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio.Course detail This is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British flagged vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio.
This includes both fixed and hand held equipment using International channels.  

Please note that you need to choose a date from the calendar to make your booking however you do not have to complete the training on this date - you may complete this training at your leisure! 


After enrollment we will send you details of how to access to the RYA interactive platform where you will be able to complete the SRC training online in your own time. Once you have successfully completed the online training you will be eligible to undertake the examination element which should be arranged directly with the Bradwell centre by phoning 01621 776256.
 
The exam will require an additional fee of £70 payable directly to the RYA prior to the exam.

The online Marine Radio SRC course is a web-based course for your PC, Mac or tablet. Before purchasing the course from us, we advise you to check the compatibility information below. 

For this web-based course you will need:
· Internet connection (broadband or 3G). Charges may apply for 3G
· JavaScript enabled in your web browser
· Microphone and speakers/headphones
· Pop-ups enabled
Compatible devices and operating systems:
· PC running Windows 10 minimum with the latest version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Firefox
· Mac running 10.13 minimum with the latest version of Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox
· iPad running iOS11 minimum using Safari
· Android tablet running 4.1 minimum using Google Chrome.
