Spooky Forest School Sessions

Spooky Forest School Sessions

Join us for fabulous free Spooky Forest School sessions this October half term at the Essex Country Parks – but make sure to book to secure your place in advance.

Enjoy spooktacular activities such as potion and broomstick making, cook ghoulish marshmallows on the camp fire, take part in a scary Scavenger Hunt and so much more (activities may vary depending on the site and weather!).

Spooky Forest School:

Sessions run from 10am to 12pm or 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
Each has a maximum capacity of twenty children.

  • Monday 23 October, two sessions at Thorndon Country Park
  • Wednesday 25 October, two sessions at Danbury Country Park
  • Friday 27 October, two sessions at Great Notley Country Park
    **All sessions at all parks are now FULL please email education.rangers@essexoutdoors.com to be placed on the waitlist**

To book:

  • Select the date (and place) you’d like to book (as per above)
  • Select the number of attendees of each age group
  • Click on the time of your preferred session
  • Add to basket
  • Follow the rest of checkout process

Good to know:

  • Perfect for children aged three to ten-years-old
  • Please book a free space for each child you would like to join the session (accompanying adults don’t need to book)
  • No drop-ins will be able to be catered for
  • Please don't come in fancy dress outfits due to proximity to open campfires
  • Sessions will run whatever the weather
  • Car parking charges apply
